What is a proxy candidate?
The proxy candidate is the person who attends the interview in place of the actual candidate who was selected to attend the interview. Proxy candidates are selected based on their skills and qualifications. A proxy candidate is always considered to be more skilled than the actual candidate and hence selected to appear for the interview in place of the original candidate.
Although having a proxy interviewee attending the interview increases the chances of getting selected in the initial phase but in the later phase, it can create a serious issue.
